The Role

The Project Consultant is critical to the success of our customers and the company. It's important to show our customers a professional, well-refined process for bringing new software live in their environment. Training and ensuring the customer is comfortable using the system as quickly and easily as possible is key.

• Manage and maintain strong relationships with customers, with every effort made to ensure they are satisfied, and open to discussing their experience with other prospects.
• Manage projects with current customers who are interested in acquiring additional software and/or professional services.
• Provide customers with Housing and Conference management subject matter expertise.

• Work Location:Remote, US
• Travel:Up to 30% [This is an estimate which may vary and could fluctuate up or down based on business need.]
• Reporting Structure:Reports to the Professional Services Manager/Team Lead

What You Will Own

The Project Consultant position includes, but is not limited to, the following:

• Delivering Product training to customers
• Working with Customer on smaller Project Delivery & Services Packages
• Assist customers in an Outsourced Resource role, helping with day-to-day operations.
• Assist StarRez Project Managers or Senior Consultants on larger projects.
• Provide resolution to project, implementation, or customer issues, following proper escalation procedures based on internal practices.
• Create project documentation and procedures.
• Testing of products, tools, or components
• Create/update documentation for customers and internal purposes.
• Traveling required: up to 30% when required.

Other

• Additional Duties and Projects as assigned and required by business need.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience
• 2+ years of experience working in Higher Education with a focus on Student Housing and Accommodations.
• Experience using StarRez Software.

• Experience working with cross-functional teams and departments.
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships and become a trusted partner.
• Strong collaboration, teamwork, and relationship building skills across multiple levels and functions within an organization.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Skilled at conflict resolution and problem solving to achieve win-win outcomes.
• Experience working in accounting and/or with accounting systems.
• Experience using or implementing Student Information Systems such as: Oracle, PeopleSoft, SAP, Banner
