Why our Infrastructure Engineer is Important:

Our IT Department provides direction and support to the organization through technology. Our Infrastructure Engineer provides support for the HEMIC Family of Companies to efficiently and effectively operate and manage our technology, data, and cybersecurity. The Infrastructure Engineer designs, deploys, manages, and maintains our technology, apps, and systems while serving as a mentor to team members as an Engineering SME.

Essential Duties

  • Engineering SME for technologies such as Microsoft Active Directory, Windows Operating Systems, and general Networking and cybersecurity concepts and configurations.
  • Cloud Administration SME for HEMIC’s current cloud services currently deployed in Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Office365, and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Build, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot HEMIC’s technology platforms, systems, and services.
  • Create documentation as required (includes training, process flow, troubleshooting, system configuration, infrastructure diagrams etc.) to manage and maintain Hemic technology.
  • Participates in the evaluation of new technology, services, and solutions.
  • Executes, operates and improves procedures and processes that are used by the IT department in the operations of HEMIC technology.
  • Participates in and sometimes leads projects and innovative ways to improve the efficiency and economics of core HEMIC functions.
  • Act as part of the IT Team with regards to escalations and elevated support for critical systems and business processes.
  • Participate and operate HEMIC’s Information Security Program and contribute to HEMIC’s overall cybersecurity team and strategy.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience managing Microsoft based systems and technology on traditional hardware and in the cloud.
  • Experience working in a corporate environment where technology is not the core business function and IT support is oriented toward exceptional customer service.
  • 3+ years of experience administering, installing, configuring, upgrading, supporting, and troubleshooting Server and Cloud infrastructure in a multi-user environment.
  • Use of scripting languages like PowerShell to manage infrastructure.
  • Professional Certifications in Cloud (AWS and Azure) and Infrastructure (Microsoft and Cisco) preferred.
  • Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and conceptual skills in handling various projects and programs.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work with and manage Vendors and third-party support teams.
  • Ability to work with a variety of individuals, occasionally dealing with sensitive or difficult issues.
  • Ability to effectively present ideas in user-friendly language and “translate” complex terms to end-users.
  • Innovative mindset and demonstrated ability and self-motivation to learn new tools and products independently.
  • Ability to remain flexible in a demanding work environment and adapt to rapidly changing priorities.
  • Team player.
