Sr. Estimator - Heavy Civil Construction

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Prepares competitive job estimates by interpreting drawings and bid documents.

• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs utilizing industry takeoff software and conventional means for labor, equipment, and materials.

• Solicit quotes from subcontractors and suppliers

• Develops relationships with suppliers to stay up-to-date on new products and practices

• Support Project Management and Engineering teams when questions arise

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Previous experience performing take-offs with heavy/ highway/construction projects.

• Dedicated, well organized, and able to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks.

• Detailed-oriented with the ability to focus on quality, accuracy, and attention to detail.

• Maintain professionalism when faced with aggressive deadlines.

• Excellent leadership, personable, communication, and written skills.

• Ability to work with both internal and external customers, building strong, continued positive professional relationships

• Ability to work in a team environment

• HCSS-Heavy Bid experience a plus

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, industry related

• Will take experience in lieu of degree.
