Bookkeeper Accountant

About the Job:
Busy and growing CPA firm in Las Vegas is currently hiring a full time experienced Full Charge Accountant to execute day to day activities for multiple clients. Experience working at a CPA firm preferred. Must have good time management skills. Must have a minimum of 5 years full charge accounting experience, in-depth knowledge and experience with QuickBooks and all aspects of payroll reporting. Must be proficient with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable and have a thorough understanding of debits and credits. Great work environment and benefits. Salary DOE.

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Full-charge accounting/bookkeeping including all month and yearend journal entries for multiple clients

· Payroll processing & quarterly and annual payroll reporting

· Financial statement preparation, including statement of cash flows for yearend tax purposes and decision making ability

· Perform other duties as necessary

Required Skills:

· Must have experience doing bookkeeping at a CPA Firm

· Must be able to work quickly, efficiently and accurately

· Must have a minimum of 5 years extensive experience with QuickBooks – both on-line and desktop, all aspects of full-charge accounting/bookkeeping and payroll reporting

· Must have a solid understanding of accounting principles

· Must be a critical and analytical thinker

· Good communication skills - both written and verbal

· Strong time management skills and be able to follow directions

· Able to work independently and as a team

· Be willing to do what it takes to get the job done in a timely manner

· Present a professional appearance and demeanor as an associate of Ellsworth & Stout

· Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office products – mainly Excel, Word and Outlook

· At least a bachelor’s degree in accounting or business is preferred
