Job Description

Summary:

· Maintains plant productivity by proactively managing maintenance function.

· Welding and Fabrication work on stationary equipment

· Ensure proper Parts Inventory

· Maintain facility equipment

· Performing PM’s on:

Downstream sorting lines, conveyors, and machines.
Diagnostics and minor repairs to industrial type of equipment including Mobile Equipment, Forklifts, front end loaders, skid steers, truck & Trailers.

· Perform troubleshooting, maintenance and repair work for machinery and various plant equipment e.g., Eddy Current Separator, System Conveyors, Trommels, etc.

· Work with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electric systems, PLC, valves, cylinders, bearings, and electric motors

· Check with key operations (forklift, loader, and separator) to be sure all equipment is running properly; and schedule maintenance as required.

· Prepare and maintain all maintenance records, and daily reports.

· Assign, review, and check work of maintenance done by employees, providing on-the-job training as needed; eliminate ordinary work difficulties.

· May be involved in a variety of other responsibilities including ordering of parts, welding, fabricating and performance electrical repairs (minor).

· Perform other related duties or special projects as assigned.

Safety:

Wear all necessary PPE when working in the yard. Always follow company safety standards.

Requirements:

· Perform the basic functions of arithmetic; add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure. Compute ratio, rate and percent.

· Familiarity with yard vehicles, forklift, loaders, and material separators a definite plus

· Must be able to lift a minimum of 30 – 50 pounds.
