Job Description

Maxim is currently seeking passionate Registered Nurses (RN) to be the head nurse for a small school in Santa Rosa. This position is full time and typically represents school day with no evening or weekend requirements. If you are looking to make a difference in children's life, this might be for you.

Responsibilities

Develop policies, procedures and work standards for school health program
Monitor compliance of school health program with federal, state and local laws, regulations and policies
Collaborates with other child-support agencies in designing and providing a school health program
Provides first aid care and medically prescribed supplies
Help with individualized education plans (IEP)
Corresponds with parents on health needs of children
Provides staff development on health-related topics for school staff and volunteers
Records immunizations, health findings, and other relevant health data
Working knowledge of public health problems and procedures for treatment in coordination with other health and social service agencies
Ability to develop and maintain health records on students and positive working relationships
Coordinating LVNs in the district
Other RN duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

1 year of RN experience required
Must have valid, unencumbered California RN license
Must have current PHN/BSN license
Must be BLS certified
Current PPD or chest x-ray
