Senior Systems Engineer

Six Twenty-One Solutions is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer with experience in Space and Ground systems to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for defining the ground architecture vision and strategy, performing technology trades, capability definition, CONOPS generation, and interaction with our customers. This position requires an active TS/SCI with Poly.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, test, verify and deploy solutions for Space and Ground Systems
• Perform trade studies to determine technologies to be used in the design and development of Space and Ground Systems
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers representing flight vehicle systems, mission control infrastructure, operations disciplines and customers to define software requirements, architectures, and designs.
• Coordinate with mission control infrastructure and mission system engineers to plan, develop, and lead system verification and qualification, to ensure software products that meet system requirements and safety-critical standards.
• Produce technical documentation for software architecture, design, verification plans, user manual and training material.
• Integrate software components, create and run system-level tests, and validate using Software-in-the-Loop and Hardware-in-the-Loop simulators.
• Contribute to production of technical documentation for software design, verification plans, user manuals and training material.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field
• Expertise in space and ground system technical capabilities
• Expertise in C2 space operations
• Expertise in system performance analysis and assessment
• Experience identifying user needs and gaps, as well as potential solutions
• Experience in supporting Requirements Engineering, CONOPS development, and system integration to accommodate End to End Systems Engineering
• Understanding of and experience with modern software development practices
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast paced, dynamic work environment
