Position Description: (THIS IS AN ON-SITE POSITION) The Applications Analyst implements, supports, enhances and integrates third party products for the general user community.  This individual works with department heads, end-users, database administrators, and vendors within the standard course of supporting user needs, troubleshooting and improving the use of application systems.  Bridges user needs with package functionality. Communicates easily and clearly with non-technical personnel.  At varying levels, this position will implement and maintain multiple systems.  The position will be performed successfully with limited supervision.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Define, document, diagram and integrate work flow between departments and systems.
  • Implement and support third party software and the integrations between systems and departments.
  • Work independently with vendors and developers to prepare, troubleshoot and operate third party applications.
  • Define and develop reports as needed using package specific report writers.
  • Help integrate new solutions into existing systems and conversions from old to new environments.
  • Manage customer relationships and ensure appropriate prioritization and timelines are met.
  • Assist and train end-users in functions, security and information extraction.
  • Troubleshoot end-user problems.
  • Negotiate contract work for third party package support.
  • Assist in maintaining yearly contract maintenance and vendor correspondence.
  • Interpret and transform end-user needs to new or modified package components.
  • Prepare written documentation and procedures for use by the IT Department and end-users.
  • Maintain a digitally secure working environment with adequate protections.
  • Communicate regularly with superiors regarding workflow and project development strategies.
  • Maintain practices in adherence with HIPAA standards.
  • Maintain up to date technical product knowledge and learn new technologies as required.
  • Maintain an understanding of current and evolving standards such as privacy, confidentiality, e-commerce, accessibility, security and intellectual property rights.

Qualifications:
  • Four-year Computer Science or similar technical degree required. Equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Skills:
    • Sensitivity in relating to persons of varying backgrounds and demonstrates ability to work with diverse groups of people possessing various strengths, aptitudes and abilities. 
    • Ability to perform job responsibilities with a high degree of initiative and judgment.
    • Demonstrate oral and written communication skills and effective interpersonal skills.
    • Practical and creative problem solving skills.
    • Programming skills required.
  • Microsoft Operating Systems experience required.
  • Experience working with and maintaining a strong Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Experience with Robotic Process Automation (RPA) is a plus.
