Job Description

About the Position: We have an opening an upbeat and energetic Economics and Government teacher for the 2024-2025 academic year. The coursework has been planned, scoped, and sequenced for our 108 day school year. This position allows flexibility to customize planning or rely on existing lesson plans. The average class size is 9.

Requirements:

- Degree in related field.

- Prior Experience (preferred)

- Public School Experience (required)

About the School: Capstone Academy offers a condensed Honors-level educational setting where students attend class 3 days a week, from 8:10-12:33 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Campus is open for study hall, AP course workshops, and tutoring on Mondays, but students and curriculum are structured to be more independent and students are required to take more initiative and ownership of their education. Our students typically have a demanding passion such as performing arts or athletics that require the flexible schedule with limited time on-campus.

About the Company: Capstone Academy is a private school (5th-12th grade) serving portions of the Greater Atlanta area. We are a relatively young school, we opened 5 years ago and have grown steadily, with an expected enrollment of 160 for the 2024-2025 school year. Over the summer of 2020 we added 2 classrooms and additional administrative workspace and are investing in expanded online and remote learning and working capability.
