We are currently seeking a Vice President, Production and Supply Chain to oversee our Production Operations in our Apex, NC facility. This position will be required to be in the Apex, NC office a minimum of 3 days per week, but may offer flexibility to work remotely up to 2 days per week.

The Vice President of Production and Supply Chain ensures that appropriate resources are planned and allocated to achieve strategic, financial and business objectives around the Companies procurement, production, repairs, logistic and quality activities. This person leads and directs the discrete product supply chain, manufacturing and repair operations, and warehouse and logistics activities to obtain world class performance for quality, cost and delivery, while defining and achieving related strategic objectives for the company.

The Vice President is responsible for COGS and expense budget management and for the infrastructure to deliver high quality products and services. The position also establishes goals, monitors work/workflow, and evaluates results to ensure that departmental and organizational objectives and operating requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Ensure production planning, execution and control activities so that products are assembled, configured and tested to meet customer schedule expectations, established quality standards, and cost objectives.

• Manages the procurement of goods and external services to ensure the timely provision of products and services. Further leverages these supplier relationships to bring innovative processes and hardware products, to improve lead times and repair cycles, manage cash-flow and inventory values and ensure client satisfaction.

• Ensure inventory and shipping/receiving functions are operating at levels which meet company and customer needs. Develops and enforces policies and procedures that accurately identify, preserve, and safeguard company inventory, implement inventory reduction/turns and efficiencies from manufacturers to client shipments.

• Actively drives and promotes a culture of continuous improvement regarding quality, cost, and responsiveness. Works closely with employees at all levels to engage in the initiation, development, and refinement of these improved processes.

• Prepares budgets, schedules, and other organizational reports as needed

• Identifies improvement areas and plans and implements activities to boost operational effectiveness.

• Responsible for developing and recommending policies, programs, procedures that enhance the Quality Management System and to maintain and improve the competitive position of the organization. Implement systems of control over capital, operating expenditures, manpower, wages and salaries.

• Executes plans designed to meet company goals by changing policies and coaching employees

• Hire, train, develop and evaluate employees in a fair and consistent manner. Provide leadership for the operations team through effective communication, coaching, training, and development and ensure employees are aware of and trained in the systems.

• Actively involved with management and employees in establishing and maintaining an effective workplace safety program.

• Bring in fresh and innovative ideas and implements processes to allow for international growth of the organization

• Implements, supports and maintains ISO 9000 processes and related industrial standards.

• Key user, mentor and driver for effective D365 / ERP System implementation.

Qualifications/ Requirements

Suitable candidate will likely be an experienced technical manager that possesses significant experience in a low volume/high mix discrete product assembly, configure and test environment. Additionally requires diverse knowledge of electro-mechanical assembly processes, configured, programmable PC or network hardware production and the related component materials and their supply chain. Candidate needs to have demonstrated leadership, planning and decision-making skills and be a demonstrated successful change agent. The ideal candidate will additionally have strong oral, written communication and presentation skills for internal and client exposure. VP needs extensive ERP systems background , in addition to MS Office applications.

Education/ Training/ Experience

Minimum 15 years of experience in management in a system oriented, electro-mechanical and technology products manufacturing environment. Master’s degree, preferably in a relevant Engineering discipline, with a concentration in operations management is desirable.
