Job Description:

Under the leadership of the lab management, the Clinical Laboratory Scientist Supervisor performs pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical procedures and analyses all laboratory disciplines to provide accurate data for health maintenance, diagnoses treatment and monitoring of medical conditions. Guides, trains and may provide mentoring to students and/or technical staff. Monitors/maintains QC standards. In addition to performing all the duties of the staff position, the Supervisor participates in the equipment selection process, investigates, and develops technical procedures, participates in performance improvement activities, serves as a technical resource for staff, and monitors daily operations of laboratory section or site. S/he maintains familiarity with regulatory agency requirements. Reports to Director of the Lab.

Experience:

3-5 years’ experience required. Computer proficiency required. Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, patients, and medical staff, verbally and in writing, required.

Certification REQUIRED:
Current licensure as CLS in the State of California
