Calling all project engineers proficient in AutoCAD 2D! We are seeking a Project Engineer for a facility located in Flower Mound, to create Conceptual Layout Designs (2D), help lead the engineering team, and oversee projects from cradle to grave.

Facility fabricates Spray Dynamics equipment

ROLES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Project Engineer provides technical expertise in leading the design effort, supplying large capital food processing equipment to customers, and interfacing with customers in conjunction with sales as the subject matter expert.

• Create the project Conceptual Layout Drawing (CLD) in AutoCAD 2D format
• Work with the Application Engineer in developing a project schedule
• Participate in equipment/product testing
• Taking on-site field dimensions and/or design development
• Generate the project Equipment Layout Drawings (ELD) in AutoCAD 2D format
• Generate a Change Order Log
• Track the ELD approval from customer
• Generate the Motor and Device (MAD) list
• Generate the Critical Controls Logic for the system (CCL)
• Coordinate PLC Program simulations with the controls group
• Generate equipment Product Safety Drawings (PSD)

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Associate of Applied Science degree in engineering-related field (BS degree in engineering preferred). Required
• At least 1 year of prior experience in a Project Engineer role. Required
• Able to travel locally and regionally 15-25%. Required
• Experience with AutoCAD 2D. Preferred.
• Experience with SAP. Preferred
