Summer Camp Instructor/Coach

This position works closely with our Event Specialist and our Student Experience Manager. Our Summer Camp program runs from June through August for student athletes ages (potty trained) 2 to 17. We strive to provide a fun, safe, enriching environment in our facility through use of our equipment, structured activities, crafts, and more.

Qualified candidates must be comfortable working with children ages 2 to 17. Must be available some weekdays between the hours of 8:30am - 3:30pm from the months of June through August. Minimum availability of two days per week required.

This is a seasonal job with the potential to turn into regular part-time work throughout the year.

Summer Camp coaching responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Facilitating games/crafts/activities with groups of children
• Enforcing safety rules
• Maintaining behavioral expectations of children; mediate conflict resolution
• Following a schedule and keeping camp attendees on schedule
• Talking to parents/guardians as needed in a kind and professional manner
• Staying engaged, always focusing on your students
• Helping to set, maintain, and enforce standard attire policies

• Patient and passionate about working with children
• Has a friendly, upbeat, & enthusiastic attitude and approachable personality
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Comfortable being an kind but firm authoritative figure who will set boundaries with camp attendees to keep them safe and on track while having fun

Salary Range: $16.00 to $22.50 per hour
