Strength and Conditioning Coach

The United States Naval Academy Athletic Association seeks a highly qualified and motivated Strength, Speed and Conditioning Coach to join our Division 1 Women's Lacrosse program for immediate full-time employment. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in speed, agility training and injury prevention protocols. This position will report to Associate Athletic Director for Sports Performance.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Experience with training Women’s Lacrosse.
Develop and implement comprehensive strength, speed and conditioning programs tailored specifically for women's lacrosse athletes.
Design and implement a comprehensive to injury prevention and performance enhancement (strength development, speed development, power development, movement capacity development, etc.) for assigned sport.
Lead and assist in day-to-day operations of the training facilities
Work closely with sport coaches to monitor athlete performance
Effective communication (written & oral) to student athlete, coaches, sports administration, staff, etc.
Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with strength staff and other athletic department personnel
Collaborate with sports medicine and athletic trainers regarding the rehabilitation process and return to play protocol of injured student athletes
Enforce our standards, policies, and mission of the United States Naval Academy and the Athletic Association
Assist coaches in recruiting
Maintain all records concerning the student-athletes
Maintain cleanliness of equipment and facilities
Other related duties, as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor degree Required
Master degree Preferred
Minimum of two years of full-time experience in strength and conditioning at the intercollegiate level or equivalent
Certification by either of the two NCAA recognized strength and conditioning certification organizations: NSCA-CSCS and/or CSCCa-SCCC. (current & valid)
Preferred Certification is by the Collegiate Strength & Conditioning Coaches association (CSCCa).
