Company Description
We're hiring multiple Machine Operator / Production positions in Delmont for North America’s largest PVC Extrusion manufacturer. Your primary role is to maintain the operations of extrusions lines while performing all the aspects of teardown and setup.
1st Shift / 8am – 4pm / $17.35 per hour
2nd Shift / 4pm - 12 am $18.34 per hour
3rd Shift / 12am - 8am $18.60 per hour
Machine Operator / Production Responsibilities:
- Perform all aspects of Extruder teardown and set-up.
- Maintain raw material levels for assigned machines.
- Troubleshoot raw material, die, and mechanical problems.
- Perform QA inspections, detect malfunctions, and make necessary adjustments to machines.
- Construct proper packaging (crates, cradles, boxes, etc.) for material being produced.
- Ensure packing label is correct for piece count, color and length.
- Adjust machines and equipment to maintain proper tolerances of material.
- Maintain a safe, clean and organize work area.
Machine Operator / Production Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of hand and power tools.
- Mechanical skills and sound judgment are necessary to maintain operation within specs, making the correct adjustments and detecting malfunctions.
- Quality (QA) background is helpful.
- Attention to Detail is an absolute requirement (precise measurement, basic math skills, along with the ability to read a tape measure)
