We are looking for an experienced commercial plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with a wide range of plumbing systems and be able to troubleshoot and repair issues quickly and efficiently. He or she will also be able to install new plumbing systems according to code and with a high level of craftsmanship. The ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines is essential, as is excellent customer service skills.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Repair and maintain plumbing, replacing defective washers, replacing or mending broken pipes, and opening clogged drains. Test plumbing systems for leaks and other problems. Fill pipes or plumbing fixtures with water or air and observe pressure gauges to detect and locate leaks.
• Assemble pipe sections, tubing, or fittings, using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment.
• Study building plans and inspect structures to assess material and equipment needs, to establish the sequence of pipe installations, and to plan installation around obstructions such as electrical wiring. Install holding tanks, pressurized tanks, and heat exchangers.
• Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe to required angle, using hand and power tools or machines. Join pipes by means of screwing, bolting, cementing, soldering, brazing, and welding, using hand and power tools.
• Inspect used pipes for defects. Locate and mark positions of pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors.
• May also assist in performing general maintenance and facilities duties, including but not limited to, basic electric and mechanical repairs and maintenance, painting, setting up for special events, etc.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

BASIC & PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum 5 years commercial plumbing experience. Proven experience with reading blueprints and schematics.
• Journeyman or Master plumber license preferred
• Strong understanding of local building and plumbing codes
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Technical and mechanical aptitude
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in cramped spaces
