Medical Technologist Generalist

Pride Health is seeking Medical Technologists for several Clinical Lab Generalist opportunities (Blood Bank/Chemistry/Hematology/Microbiology) supporting our client’s clinical labs in Charlotte, NC.

Job Summary: We are seeking a qualified Medical Laboratory Technician/Scientist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess an associate or bachelor’s degree, with preference given to those with MT or MLS certification. This is a generalist role that requires specific experience in Blood Bank, Chemistry, Hematology, or Microbiology. Responsible for conducting laboratory analysis on received specimens to aid in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases. Ensuring the overall quality, efficiency, and safety of technical duties is paramount in this role. Responsibilities:

• Performs laboratory analysis according to testing procedures and policies, adhering to quality assurance guidelines.
• Prepares reagents and manages inventory to reduce departmental waste.
• Exercises clinical judgment in prioritizing tasks and troubleshooting test systems.
• Assists in reviewing and revising procedures and documentation for accreditation compliance.
• Maintains clear communication with shift-to-shift and leadership regarding issues affecting patient care or department operation.
• Participates in planning and implementing changes, including competency assessment programs.
• Works in a fast-paced clinical environment with biohazardous materials and other hazards.
• Physical requirements include standing, walking, bending, and lifting.

Qualifications:

• Associate or bachelor’s degree.
• MLT, MT, or MLS certification (ASCP or AMT) required within one year of hire.
• Experience in a clinical laboratory setting, with specific experience in Blood Bank.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements for accreditation.

Pay Range:

• MLS/MT: $27.00 - $38.00
• MLT: $20.00 - $27.00

*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
