The Position
We are seeking a CaseAware Administrator. CaseAware is a third-party case management platform that allows for complex legal processes to be defined and regulated through SQL queries and a variety of automation mechanisms.

The Position
We are seeking a CaseAware Administrator. CaseAware is a third-party case management platform that allows for complex legal processes to be defined and regulated through SQL queries and a variety of automation mechanisms.
Responsibilities
- Coordinating with legal and administrative departments to understand their processes and tasks
- Designing, modifying, and maintaining processes and data systems within our case management software, CaseAware, to assist with and streamline those processes and tasks.
- Writing SQL queries on a complex database for the purposes of guiding the systems within our case management system.
- Identifying and addressing process and data issues through proper channels
- Designing, modifying, and maintaining intelligent legal document templates with complex logic and mark-up for rendering by the CaseAware document generation engine.
- Designing, modifying, and maintaining long-term reporting systems in SQL and PowerQuery.
- Providing urgent ad hoc SQL reports to users on demand.
- Auditing our case management software for data errors (duplicate entries, error-causing characters, missing data, etc.) and logic errors (processes being misdirected).
- Mastering how to manage our case management software.
Qualifications
- Intermediate knowledge of SQL, ideally the MySQL dialect. There will be technical questions in the interview.
- Creative problem solver.
- Must love data.
- Experience with Excel PowerQuery very much preferred.
- Interested to learn about our legal and business processes.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Advanced computer skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication. Ability to translate computer-talk into layman's understanding.
- Programming experience in python considered an asset. If so, you can assist in other projects.
- Professional and courteous communication with our colleague, who are the users of the systems we design.
- Learning and understanding our business and law processes.
- Detail oriented, thorough.
