International food manufacturer is seeking a R&D Associate to join the team! You will resolve customer questions and offer solutions to drive company revenue.
Position: R&D Associate
Industry: International Food Manufacturer
Location: Torrance, CA / South Bay area
Pay: $25-33/hr (DOE) plus benefits
Status: Full time / Direct Hire
Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing new product concepts, formulations, and recipes
- Help in researching and implementing new food technologies and processing methods
- Aid in conducting technical research and analysis to support product development
- Support initiatives to improve product quality, safety, and sustainability.
- Assist with quality documentation and product claims from the customers
- Assist in regulations of product development
- Prepare, submit, and maintain regulatory documentation, including applications for certifications, product registrations, and compliance reports
- Perform regular maintenance and basic troubleshooting of laboratory equipment used in product development
- Any support duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Culinary Arts, or a related field, or equivalent ability
- Related experience of more than 6 months
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite, particularly MS Excel
- Excellent communication skills
- Analytical and multitasking skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
