Aerospace Sales Engineer

We are looking to fill a full time Aerospace Sales Engineer position with a manufacturer located in the area of City of Industry, CA.

• Analyze technical documents (drawings, BOMs, models) to grasp project complexities.
  
• Leverage your knowledge of aerospace processes to estimate costs for materials, labor, and external services.
  
• Utilize CAD software (Glovius) to analyze parts and assemblies for accurate cost calculations.
  
• Partner with vendors and internal departments to gather comprehensive data for competitive quotes.
  
• Craft clear, detailed cost estimates that meet deadlines and propel our sales success.
  
• Collaborate on daily bid strategies and proposal preparation.
  
• Maintain open communication with customers, internal teams, and vendors via phone and email.
  
• Actively participate in project quoting, including change orders and special reporting.
  
• Conduct periodic walkthroughs of manufacturing areas to stay updated on project status.
  

You're a Perfect Fit If You Have:

• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing sales environment, preferably aerospace.
  
• A strong understanding of metalworking, machining, and similar aerospace processes.
  
• Expertise in reading and interpreting engineering documents.
  
• Excellent mathematical skills and a passion for precise calculations.
  
• The ability to independently manage projects and meet tight deadlines.
  
• Exceptional communication skills to bridge the gap between engineers, sales teams, and clients.
  
• Proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) is a plus.
  
• Experience with Model-Based Definition (MBD) interpretation (ASME Y14.46) is a plus.
  
• Familiarity with cost estimating software programs is a plus.
  
• A college degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field (bonus points!).
  
• Knowledge of quality control procedures in aerospace manufacturing (bonus points!).
