Maintenance Technician

Job Description
Our client is looking for a Maintenance Technician for a contract to hire role in Suwanee, GA. The Maintenance Tech is responsible for equipment and facility preventive and predictive maintenance. Job responsibilities will be received through written and/or oral instructions from the Supervisor or Lead Person.

Hours: Monday - Friday 40 hours. 6am - 2:45pm

OT required- Saturday 6 hours. 5am - 1pm

Skills:
•High School or equivalent required.
•AS degree or advanced technical training/certifications preferred - with concentration in electrical.
•Five years or more of experience in a manufacturing environment.
•PC experience required with basic skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
•Must be able to read and interpret blue prints and drawings.
•Must have strong skills in: o automation control o hydraulic systems o pneumatics
•Must have a strong mechanical aptitude.
•Must be able to conduct problem-solving analysis and seek resolution to problems in a timely manner, sensitive to production needs.
•Must be able to set-up and maintain a schedule for maintenance of equipment.
•Must be able to manage and monitor projects to ensure completion as scheduled.
•Must be a goal-oriented team player.
•Effective verbal and written communication skills.
•Must be able to work overtime as required (weekends, off-shifts, holidays, etc.)
•Perform other duties as assigned.
•Troubleshoot and perform repairs on electrical controls, machine tools and plant equipment where knowledge of electrical and electronic theory is required.
•Set-up the calibration schedule of the main equipment.
•Operate electrical test equipment such as voltmeter, amp-meter, and ohmmeter.
•Guarantee production support systems such as power and water supply are in good working condition. Maintain plant HVAC system; i.e. filters, coil cleaning.
•Perform any work of equal or lower grades, as requested, to support the operations of the facility. Participate in required training and completion of project work by the assigned due date.
•Maintain work areas in a clean and organized manner. Observe all quality, safety, hygiene, and environmental rules and regulations.
