Maintenance Manager - Chemical Manufacturing

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for developing and leading maintenance organization to achieve the daily business priorities. The successful candidate will implement and execute process to assure effective repair and asset care at the Cincinnati site.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Schedule, train, supervise and motivate employees for the maintenance department
2. Manage and develop outside vendors
3. Implement maintenance and reliability metrics to monitor health of systems (e.g. PM compliance, % scheduled work)
4. Develop and implement maintenance planning and scheduling process
5. Ensure effective use of plant maintenance system (AMMS)
6. Develop and implement inventory management program
7. Ensure that all preventative maintenance is current, appropriate, and completed effectively.
8. Implement predictive maintenance tools where applicable
9. Implement safety policies and procedures for the department
10. Assure maintenance is represented on key projects, initiatives and program development

Candidate Qualifications

Minimum Requirement:

• 2 to 4 year technology degree or equivalent
• Effective interpersonal and written communication skills
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task effectively
• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strongly desired:
• 5+ years’ experience in maintenance management role
• Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems
• Knowledge/expertise in powder and bulk solid handling is strongly preferred
• Experience in chemical industry as well as prior experience in process design and implementation is preferred
