Job Description
BPS Partners FL LLC, a family real estate investment office located in Palm Beach Gardens, is seeking a commercial property accountant to help with the day-to-day operations and bookkeeping for our growing portfolio of commercial buildings in South Florida. We recently completed several transactions and expect to acquire more properties soon. We offer a fantastic work environment with great benefits and lots of room for growth!
Responsibilities:
· Rent collections
· CAM computations & reconciliations
· Paying bills
· Invoicing tenants
· Insurance management
· Real estate tax reconciliation
· Manage tenant certificate of insurance compliance
· Reconciliation of bank statements
· Assist with budget preparation
· Collect all mail and respond to actionable items
· Input bills and manage payables in accounting software
· Compute and make depreciation/amortization entries
· Prepare and enter monthly GL entries as needed
· Prepare internal monthly financial statements and reporting packages
· Coordinate with outside CPA for year-end financials and taxes
Requirements & Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s or higher degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
· Previous experience handling accounting in a real estate environment
· Familiarity with accounting software Yardi Voyager
· Detail oriented and highly organized
· Ability to build rapport with tenants
· Familiarity with real estate contracts and leases
· Ability to multitask and prioritize
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Motivated and ability to self-direct
· Strong problem-solving skills
· Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality
· Strong working knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.
