Engineering Technician

Located in Red Wing, Minnesota, Elektro Assemblies is a leader in the manufacturing of all wire our customers wire needs; from single wire to complex large harnesses. We help customers in a variety of industries including automotive, healthcare, technology, and food equipment, just to name a few.

From the start in 1973, Elektro Assemblies brings your prints to life by offering initial builds and production runs, with supreme quality and delivery. We are here to serve our customers and their needs. There's no wire too small or harness too large, that we can't produce for our customers.

We are looking for a self-directed ambitious team member that wants to be part of a dedicated engineering technician team, that can utilize their skills to contribute to the growth of the business!!

Qualities needed to be successful in this role would include:

• Create new item masters, BOMs, Routings, quotes, and product specifications.
• Have a deep understanding of reading customer prints and diagrams.
• Document and build new parts or revisions in a timely manner to help grow the business.
• Ensure changes are documented, filed, and communicated to all related departments.
• Be mechanically inclined and able to troubleshoot and fix equipment as needed.
• Participate in all process areas to ensure the end-to-end quality of the manufacturing.
• Ensure changes are documented, filed, and communicated to all related departments.
• Assist in processing Engineering Change Requests.
• Perform on-site service when needed.

An ideal candidate would include some, if not all of the attributes listed below:

• Two-year technical degree in an engineering-related field is required if you have less than two years of work experience.
• Or at least three to five years of related experience without a degree
• Proficient in MS Office
• Desire for continual improvement
