Medication Technician/Caregiver in Assisted Living

Glen Park at Valley Village is now looking for someone to join our team as a medication technician caregiver role!

As a leader in the senior housing industry, Glen Park is looking for caregivers that are enthusiastic about providing compassionate care for seniors in an assisted living environment. • Assist with the basic needs of an RCFE (Residential Care Facility for the Elderly).
• Provide ethical and respectful care to residents.
• Administer medication to residents in accordance to Title 22 regulations of the California Administrative Code.
• Order and reorder medication for residents, following explicit physician instructions.
• Monitor the resident’s medication administration records and report any errors to the Lead Medication Technician and/or Administrator.
• Progressive documentation and communication with the physician and /or medical professionals.
• Scheduling of resident doctor’s appointments.
• Ensure that residents stay stress-free as much as possible by working with medical professionals in regards to reducing pain while promoting engagement and independence.
• Maintains good composure during emergencies.
• Maintains a safe work environment.
• Mandatory Live-Scan Clearance and TB test and CPR/AED certification are required upon job offer.
• Must also have previous experience as a caregiver who is familiar with managing 20 plus residents within an 8hr shift.
• Compensation is based on experience.

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Shift availability:

• PM Shift (2:30PM to 11PM)
• Noc Shift (11:00 PM to 7:00AM)

Work Location: In person.
