Senior Engineer II - Substation Design

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Engineer II - Substation Design to join Manpower. This role involves providing comprehensive engineering design services for substation facilities, ensuring timely and within-budget construction, and leading functional teams. The ideal candidate will have significant autonomy in managing multiple substation projects and will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently develop reliable and feasible substation physical and control designs, managing multiple projects with prioritization.
• Oversee quality control for assigned projects through construction support, including site inspections and coordination with construction teams.
• Facilitate procurement and inter-departmental communications, ensuring seamless project execution without supervision.
• Provide expertise in solving complex substation design issues, supporting other departments with guidance.
• Generate accurate cost estimates for budgeting purposes and identify cash flow needs.
• Input and update detailed project schedules in the management system to reflect current project statuses.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, codes, and regulations.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Must be a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with at least 8 years of industry experience; alternatively, 10+ years of experience if not PE licensed.
• Demonstrated knowledge in substation/control engineering, cost control, budgeting, and finance.
• Proficient in multitasking, leadership, and project management with strong analytical and decision-making skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate with company personnel, customers, and regulatory bodies.

Technical Proficiencies:

• Proficient with PCs, including word processing, spreadsheets, and database software.

Work Environment:

• Primarily in a general office setting with occasional fieldwork required for project supervision.
