Operations Specialist - Transfer Agency

This position will be responsible for client transaction processing, processing cash movements at the custodian on behalf of clients (i.e. Fed Wires and ACH transactions),and maintain accurate bookkeeping of client information. This position is very detailed and requires attention to detail, accuracy, being proactive and follow-through. Other responsibilities include processing new accounts, generating timely account statements, reporting net cash activity by required deadlines, and generating periodic reporting for clients and Senior Management. Accuracy in transaction review and processing as well as exceeding deadlines is an extremely important aspect of this position.

Primary Responsibilities

• Process applications and transactions with a 99% accuracy rate.
• Initiate shareholder Fed Wires and ACH transactions through custodian bank.
• Process various file imports and exports for processing with 99% accuracy rate.
• Ensure accuracy of fund cash and share reporting to various parties.
• Work with statement vendor and ensure timely distribution of statements via mail and electronic delivery.
• Create and distribute various reports to TA Management, compliance, and Senior Management.
• Maintain organized, accurate bookkeeping, complying with Investment and compliance rules and regulations.
• Assist in performing database testing on transfer agency system, approximately quarterly.
• Train and serve as a back-up to other Meeder Transfer Agency and Advisory Operational tasks.
• Diagnose operational issues related to web users in order to facilitate a quick resolution.

Technical Skills Required

• Bachelor’s Degree Required.
• Strong skills with Microsoft Office suite of products.
• At least 1 year of Transfer Agency/Operations, mutual fund industry/financial services experience.
• Experience in investment operations, banking, trading, and reconciliation preferred.
