Operations Manager – Euless, TX

U.S. Shoring & Equipment is searching for an Operations Manager to join its team at its Euless, Tx location. In this role, you will be a key part of the management team and will be responsible for managing overall operations and responsible for the effective and successful management of labor, productivity, quality control, safety and creating exceptional customer relationships. With a high sense of urgency, the Operations Manager will be responsible for responding to internal/external customers in a timely and professional manner. Work proactively and closely with service/shop technicians, office personnel, and customers to ensure that expectations are being met in a timely manner. Responsible for assigning/scheduling of technicians and equipment repairs in the field/shop.

Responsibilities:

• Help promote a company culture that encourages top performance and high morale.
• Administers safety program and promotes a culture of safety along with employees.
• Manages work in process to meet deadlines and promote efficient billing.
• Develop tracking system to follow equipment through repair cycle, start to finish.
• Develop processes and procedures for receiving, utilizing, and accurately managing parts inventory.
• Ensures work orders are created properly; ensures technician parts and labor are properly charged, invoiced correctly to internal, warranty, or customer.
• Works with customers to define scope of work/repairs/costs on their equipment.
• Creates accurate service estimates for customers, obtains authorization from customer for work requested and advises customers on course of action in repairs.
• Completes fair and accurate yearly reviews with staff; provides appropriate improvement recommendations.
• Manages after-hours calls with assistance of service/shop technicians.

Qualifications/Skills:

• 2-year technical degree preferred.
• Management experience preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills required.
• Strong people leader who develops his/her employees through coaching and feedback.
• Strong computer skills required.
• Basic understanding of warranty issues preferred.
• Personal characteristics: planning/organization, customer focus, problem solving, even temperament, leadership, strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work responsibly, safely, and intelligently.
• Have the desire to take action, improve, and be appreciative.
• Possess the capability to engage with customers, co-workers, and vendors in a respectful manner.
