Job Purpose
As a Shoring Technician at an equipment rental company, your primary responsibility is to provide technical expertise and support related to shoring equipment and systems. You will assist customers in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting shoring equipment to ensure safe and efficient construction operations. Your role requires a strong understanding of shoring principles, construction practices, and the ability to work collaboratively with customers and internal teams.
What you will do...
  • Assist customers with the proper installation, assembly, and disassembly of shoring equipment.
  • Address customer inquiries and provide troubleshooting support to resolve any technical issues or concerns.
  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance checks on shoring equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.
  • Perform repairs and replace worn or damaged components as necessary.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment conditions, and any repairs performed.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and guidelines when working with shoring equipment.
  • Ensure customers are informed about proper usage, safety precautions, and any relevant guidelines for working with shoring systems.
  • Conduct safety inspections of job sites to identify potential hazards and provide recommendations for mitigating risks.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of shoring equipment, ensuring all items are properly labeled, stored, and accounted for.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits to monitor stock levels and coordinate with the procurement team for equipment replenishment.
  • Provide training sessions and demonstrations to customers on the proper use and maintenance of shoring equipment.
  • Develop instructional materials, manuals, and guides for customers to reference.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new equipment releases, and best practices related to shoring systems.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or vocational training in construction or arelated field is advantageous.
  • Proven experience working with shoring equipment, preferably in an equipment rental orconstruction environment.
  • Strong knowledge of shoring principles, equipment assembly, and safety regulations.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals, diagrams, and blueprints.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in outdoor environments as needed.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
