SUMMARY: The Recruiter is responsible researching, developing and implementing an effective recruitment and staffing strategy to meet current and future workforce planning needs. The Recruiter will also manage the recruitment process to find qualified candidates by sourcing, screening, interviewing and making recommendations regarding potential employees, in addition to overseeing the new hire & onboarding experience.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Attracts, evaluates, and refers candidates for open positions through recruiting website, employee referrals, on-site recruiting, search firms and other sourcing methods
  • Develops and maintains relationships with staffing agencies to source quality candidates in hard to fill positions; serves as the main point of contact
  • Build and maintain a talent pipeline of potential candidates for current and future roles
  • Develops and maintains job descriptions in concert with hiring manager, officer or executive team member; Plans a proactive review of job descriptions on regularly scheduled cadence
  • Generates and maintains internal and external job postings; determines effective advertising mediums; places appropriate advertisements with a variety of sources; collaborates with the marketing team as necessary
  • Reviews resumes and manages the company’s application tracking system (ATS) to identify top quality candidates
  • Coordinates, schedules and performs candidate interviews with hiring manager(s)
  • Review prepared contracts, proposals and offer letters prior to disbursement, including conducting candidate background checks
  • Analyses compensation resources to recommend salary ranges, incentives, etc.
  • Maintains regular interactions and relationships with all departments through job shadowing, discussions and travel to work locations
  • Assist with the preparation and distributes new hire documents, schedules orientation (including hotel arrangements) and onboarding events, as needed
  • Works closely with the HR leadership to assist with future staffing needs
  • Maintains and ensures compliance with applicable equal employment opportunity (EEO) and related employment laws and regulations.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned and required

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Administration, or related field preferred
    1. Associate’s Degree and 5 years work experience in lieu of Bachelor’s Degree
    2. High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certificate of competency and 8 years work experience in lieu of Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3-5 years of experience in Recruitment, or in a Human Resources role
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office, HRIS software, and other related software
  • Knowledge of laws, and best practices related to Human Resources, and employment law
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP Certification

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Continually required to sit, talk/hear and utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read a computer monitor and use a keyboard
  • Occasionally required to lift/push/carry items less than 25 pounds
  • Frequent travel to attend company/industry functions, conduct interviews and gain industry/territory knowledge as required
