Job Description

Title: Machine Builder

Type: Full-time, temp to hire

Pay: Up to $18/hour, based on experience

Shift: 1st shift

Position Summary:

The purpose of this position is to assemble and build injection molding machines according to company and/or customer specifications.

Desired Skills / Experiences:

Fabrication: 1 year (preferred)
Pipe Fitting / Tube Fitting: 1 year (preferred)
Blueprint Reading: 1 year (preferred)
Experience working in manufacturing, assembly, production, or similar industries
Self-motivated, ready to work attitude
Works well independently and as a team member
Safety conscious and adheres to all company safety rules and PPE requirements
Attention to detail with a focus on producing high quality work
Willingness to take on other duties as assigned

Additional Desired Skills / Experiences:

Understanding of electrical systems, pneumatics/hydraulics
Some welding and pipe fitting experience
Strong mechanical background and machine building
Ability to read, visualize, and follow drawing, blueprints, and schematics
Knowledge in the use of hand tools, power equipment, and simple cutting tools
Ability to accurately read measuring instruments (i.e. calipers, tapes, gauges, etc.)
Must be able to prioritize multiple projects

Education:

High School or equivalent.

Language Skills:

English fluent

Mathematical Skills:

Basic Math

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

None required but is a plus

Physical Requirements:

Lifting / carrying up to 50-lbs
Work can be strenuous, and includes walking, climbing, kneeling, crawling, squatting, pulling (such as on torque wrenches), and assembling large components
Material handling - obtain parts for assembly with fork life or remote operated crane using chains and lifters
Shop environment
