AUTOMATION MACHINE BUILDER

$22-$28/hr Depending on Experience
We are looking for a skilled Automation Machine Builder to assemble, wire, and troubleshoot custom industrial automation machinery in our production facility in Machesney Park, IL. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, mechanical and electrical assembly, reading schematics and 3D models, and building complex machinery from the ground up.

What You'll Do
• Assemble custom industrial automation machinery and mechanical subassemblies
• Work from mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, pneumatic diagrams, and 3D assembly models
• Route and terminate wiring, cables, and pneumatic lines
• Wire single-phase and 3-phase motors and industrial electrical components
• Install sensors, actuators, motors, and other machine components
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical assembly issues
• Use hand and power tools safely and accurately
• Maintain clean and organized work areas
• Support production schedules and overtime as needed
Requirements
What We're Looking For
• 2+ years of industrial machine building, equipment assembly, maintenance, or related experience
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical/pneumatic schematics
• Experience wiring motors, sensors, or industrial electrical components
• Experience working from 3D models or CAD-based assembly systems preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and climb ladders when needed
• Must provide basic hand tools (specialty tools supplied)
