AUTOMATION MACHINE BUILDER
Full-Time | Machesney Park, IL
$22-$28/hr Depending on Experienceย 


We are looking for a skilled Machine Builder to assemble, wire, and troubleshoot custom web handling and converting equipment for the label, packaging, and printing industries at our production facility in Machesney Park, IL. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys mechanical and electrical assembly, interpreting schematics and 3D models, and bringing precision-built industrial equipment to life from the ground up.ย

What You'll Do
Assemble custom industrial automation machinery and mechanical subassemblies
Work from mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, pneumatic diagrams, and 3D assembly models
Route and terminate wiring, cables, and pneumatic lines
Wire single-phase and 3-phase motors and industrial electrical components
Install sensors, actuators, motors, and other machine components
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical assembly issues
Use hand and power tools safely and accurately
Maintain clean and organized work areas
Support production schedules and overtime as needed

Requirements

ย ย What We're Looking For


2+ years of industrial machine building, equipment assembly, maintenance, or related experience
Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical/pneumatic schematics
Experience wiring motors, sensors, or industrial electrical components
Experience working from 3D models or CAD-based assembly systems preferred
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Ability to use hand and power tools safely
Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and climb ladders when needed
Must provide basic hand tools (specialty tools supplied)
