Job Description

Overview: We are seeking a talented and motivated Architect/Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and managing architectural projects, from concept design through construction administration. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in architectural design and development, a strong understanding of architectural codes, and proficiency in Revit software.

Responsibilities:

  1. Project Management: Lead and manage all phases of architectural projects, including project planning, design development, construction documentation, bidding, and construction administration. Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and deliverables, and ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to client satisfaction.
  2. Architectural Design: Develop conceptual and schematic designs for buildings, structures, and facilities, incorporating client requirements, programmatic needs, and site constraints. Produce design drawings, renderings, and presentations to communicate design concepts effectively.
  3. Building Information Modeling (BIM): Utilize Revit software to create detailed building information models (BIM) for architectural projects. Develop 3D models, floor plans, elevations, sections, and details, and coordinate with consultants and contractors to integrate BIM into project workflows.
  4. Architectural Codes: Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, zoning regulations, and industry standards throughout the design and construction process. Conduct code research, review, and analysis to address code-related issues and requirements.
  5. Client Interaction: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on architectural projects, understanding their needs, objectives, and expectations. Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to develop project scopes, budgets, and schedules, and provide regular updates on project status and progress.
  6. Consultant Coordination: Coordinate with consultants, engineers, and other project team members to integrate architectural design with structural, mechanical, electrical, and other building systems. Review consultant drawings and specifications to ensure coordination and compatibility with architectural design intent.
  7. Construction Administration: Provide oversight and support during the construction phase of projects, including contractor selection, bid evaluation, contract administration, and construction observation. Conduct site visits, inspections, and quality assurance checks to ensure compliance with project plans and specifications.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited program required.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in architectural design and project management.
  • Proficiency in Revit software required.
  • Strong understanding of architectural design principles, building codes, and construction methods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
