Cyber Systems Engineer (DoD Secret Clearance Required)

JOB SUMMARY:

AM LLC is seeking (1) Cyber Systems Engineer to support our client in Colorado Springs, CO.

This is an hourly, full-time position for (6) months, with the possibility of extension to (12) months.

All work must be performed onsite in the Colorado Springs, CO office.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• US Citizenship with an active DoD Secret security clearance is required
• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience; Master's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience; Associate's degree with 7+ years of relevant experience; OR a HS Diploma or GED with 9+ years of relevant experience
• Possess a current DoD IAT Level II or higher certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+)
• Strong understanding and experience with systems automation tools (e.g., build custom scripts to automate tasks using Ansible)
• Working knowledge of cyber security and Risk Management Framework (RMF), DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), and associated elements
• Experience conducting security log reviews using Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Working knowledge and experience with Elastic stack (ELK), including configuration and development of elastic search, Kibana, and logstash
• Working knowledge and experience with automating industry platform hardening practices, such as STIG implementation via Ansible playbooks
• Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working in Agile DevSecOps teams.

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance
• This position requires the use of a computer screen for extensive periods of time.
• This position requires the ability to remain in a stationary position (standing and/or seated) most of the time.
• Viewing computer screen/monitor
• Utilizing keyboard
• Answering phone/making calls
• Participating in meetings and client-facing meetings in person or on camera

The hourly rate for this role is $58.32 – $77.17. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range or be above or below the range based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, business need, and location.
