Job Description

Sr Manufacturing Engineer 

Job Overview:

As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in bridging customer needs with our manufacturing capabilities. You will spearhead the development and refinement of manufacturing methods, employing lean principles and innovative techniques to enhance process efficiency.

Reports To:

General Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement production and processing methods that align with quality standards and cost reduction objectives.
  • Diagnose and solve manufacturing issues, improving work-in-process activities, enhancing efficiency, and minimizing downtime.
  • Analyze and optimize process flows and plant layouts for better operation sequences, equipment usage, throughput enhancement, and cost savings.
  • Estimate production costs, conduct technical evaluations, and determine the necessary production methods to achieve design goals.
  • Assess vendor proposals for new or updated equipment and oversee the integration of technological enhancements.
  • Ensure manufacturing processes comply with set methods and quality standards.
  • Manage manufacturing timelines and schedules for various projects.
  • Develop and implement PFMEA’s control plans, managing line validations and trial runs effectively.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical and technical capabilities.
  • Preferably experienced in project management and organizational tasks.
  • Background in lean manufacturing, process optimization, and equipment management is essential.
  • Proven track record in managing equipment installations, supporting daily operations, and troubleshooting.

Educational and Experience Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is mandatory.
  • At least 4 years of experience in a manufacturing setting, particularly in a CNC shop environment dealing with precision metal.
