Position Title: Board Certified Medical Physicist

Reports to: Operations Manager

Employment Status: Full-Time

FLSA Status: Exempt

Location: Washington, D.C.

Position Summary

Aldevra, LLC is seeking an experienced Board Certified Medical Physicist to provide services at the Washington D.C. VA Medical Center. Services must adhere to all the policies and procedures; practice standards, guidelines, patient care operations; patient safety; quality assurance and quality management of radiotherapy planning, equipment, and delivery; and continuous quality improvement initiatives promulgated by the American College of Radiology, American Society for Radiation Oncology and American Association for Physicist in Medicine. Requirements:

Security Requirements:

  • Must be able to maintain VA Badge.

This position requires passing an extensive background check.

Qualifications:

  • Must have master’s Level or PhD in Medical Physics.
  • Must be Board Certified with at least two years of continuous working experience within the last three years to ensure experience is current and relevant.
  • Two (2) years of experience – Documentation detailing experience in performing QA procedures.
  • One (1) year of experience – Documentation detailing Therapeutic Medical Physics in a healthcare system that is ACR certified.
  • One (1) year of experience - Varian Linear Accelerators: IX and Trilogy with Brain Lab Accessories following standards of TG-142
  • One (1) year of experience - Image Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT) including Cone Beam CT (following standards of TG-142).
  • One (1) year of experience - eclipse treatment planning system; and ARIA record & verify system, including the following treatment modalities: 2D/3D Conformal, SRS, SRT, SBRT, and IMRT/VMAT (following standards of TG-53)
  • One (1) years of experience - IMRT QA: Map Check I/II (or equivalent)
  • One (1) year of experience - Toshiba CT Simulator (or equivalent) and following standards of TG-66
  • One (1) year of experience - Using Superficial X-ray Machine
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and telephone manner
  • Excellent and accurate written communication
  • Familiarity with Windows operating systems; online calendars and cloud systems; intermediate to advanced skills Microsoft office products required
  • Excellent attention to detail; accurate data entry
  • Customer Focused and team-oriented work ethic
  • Able to multi-task efficiently and accurately, focusing on quality
