ABOUT THE POSITION:

As a Purchasing Manager, you will play a crucial role in sourcing, negotiating, and procuring raw materials, packaging components, and other supplies necessary for our cosmetic manufacturing operations. This role involves collaborating with various departments to identify and address procurement needs, negotiating with suppliers, and implementing effective strategies to optimize costs and improve overall efficiency. The ideal candidate will have strong background in procurement, with a focus on cost-effectiveness, quality assurance, and supplier relationship management.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies to ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of raw materials, packaging components, and other supplies required for cosmetic manufacturing.
• Identify potential suppliers, conduct supplier evaluations, and negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms, pricing, and quality standards.
• Manage supplier relationships, including regular communication, performance evaluations, and resolution of any issues or discrepancies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality control, and product development, to ensure alignment of purchasing activities with production schedules and quality requirements.
• Monitor market trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes to identify potential risks or opportunities and adjust sourcing strategies accordingly.
• Develop and maintain inventory management processes to optimize inventory levels, minimize stockouts, and reduce carrying costs.
• Perform other duties and special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Supply Chain Management, or related field

Experience:

• Proven experience as a Purchasing Manager or in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
• Strong on negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers.
• In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and supply chain management.
