IT SUMMER INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY

20+ hours per week, flexible schedule, $17.00/hour

The IT intern will be responsible for supporting the IT Operations department (ITOPS), assisting in day to day technical operations and service request activities. The intern will be provided guidance by the IT Service Delivery lead as the individual gains hands-on experience and coaching opportunities.

The internship will expose the individual to areas such as but not limited to:

• Actively participate in technology projects and initiatives
• Supporting general Service Desk hardware and software support needs (pc’s, mobile devices, operating systems and documentation)
• Ability to establish, update and close tickets assigned per job duties adhering to Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
• Ability to support pc deployment activities
• Directory services administration (Move, Adds, Changes)
• Support of technology within conference and training rooms and support of printer and other peripheral devices

Candidates must meet the following required qualifications:

• Currently enrolled undergraduate graduate student focused on obtaining a degree in Information Systems or Computer Science; preferably a Rising Junior
• Passion for technology demonstrated by current knowledge and education
• Self-motivated individual with strong customer support and service skills
• Strong technical problem solving skills related to computers and networking
• Familiarity with Windows and Apple operating systems
• Proficiency and high comfort level with MS Office (primarily Excel)
• Strong math, verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• Working conditions requiring the ability to lift up to 30 lbs.

Ideal candidates will also have prior hands-on experience with pc imaging and configuration, a basic knowledge of scripting and basic programming skills.

Interns with a minimum of two months of service and a satisfactory internship record at Campbell are eligible for reimbursement of up to 80% of the cost of a certification or additional training, up to a $500 cap, given a final passing grade. The certification or additional training must be related to their field of study and pre-approved by their manager and senior management and must be completed prior to the end of the internship at Campbell. Normal tuition costs are not reimbursable for interns.
