Machine Operator - 2nd Shift

MS-IL Staffing & Packaging, and its local client, are NOW HIRING 2nd shift Machine Operator in the Indianapolis IN, area!

**RESUME REQUIRED - Must have hands-on Machine Operator experience and resume Must Have IN DEPTH DETAILS of previous experience.**

Pay:$21.00 / hour

Shift:2nd Shift, 2PM to 10:30PM, Monday to Friday

(Must be able to work 12 hours shift 6PM-6AM, until new schedule)

Location:Indianapolis, IN ( PARK100)

The Case Packer Operator operates machines that perform one or more packaging functions such as banding, tying, packing, or wrapping containers.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Start machines and monitor operations for any signs of malfunction.
• Immediately halt operations and report any machine malfunctions to the supervisor.
• Perform regular cleaning of Case Packer machines and the glue system.
• Operate the bailing machine and ensure its proper functioning.
• Utilize the floor scrubber to maintain clean floors.
• Conduct required testing, monitoring, and documentation of packaging checks.
• Notify the supervisor of any observed material or package quality issues.
• Complete and submit Case Packer Daily Cleaning reports and Inspection Sheets.
• Remove broken bottles from the Case Packers.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and prioritize safe work practices.
• Follow pre-set up procedures, including checking product recipes, verifying film type and size, and ensuring correct packaging materials and glue pots.
• Operate Douglas case packers and shrink wrapper machines manually and automatically.
• Make minor adjustments to metering bars and film rolls as needed.
• Load fiber, film rolls, and glue into case packing devices.
• Replenish packaging supplies such as fiber, film rolls, and glue.
• Activate Case Packer machines using pedals, buttons, or levers.
• Operate Hi Cone and Wolf Tech Stretch Wrap machines manually and automatically.
• Make minor adjustments to metering bars, film rolls, and Hi-Cone Machine wheels.
• Operate Markem Coders, Glue Pots, Video Jet, UPC Labeler, and Bailer machines manually and automatically for Lines 1, 2, 3, and 4.
• Activate Markem Coders, Glue Pots, Video Jet, UPC Labeler, and Bailer machines using pedals, buttons, or levers.
• Set up and ensure proper changeover operations on Markem Coders, Video Jet, and UPC Labeler machines for Lines 1, 2, 3, and 4.
• Perform any other assigned duties as necessary.

Education and/or Experience REQUIRED:

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
• 6+ months of relevant work experience
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills Required:

• Knowledge of handling and working with sanitation chemicals such as caustic and acids.
• Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate professionally with customers and co-workers.
