Position: Medical Billing & Coding

Location: Anchorage, Alaska

Pay: $25Hr/DOE

Schedule: Full time-Mon-Fri

Anchorage based medical practice needs a dedicated, experienced medical billing and collections specialist. This role starts out as a temporary position, but with excellent long-term potential! The right individual can move into a permanent position with great benefits at this local Anchorage medical practice.

Responsibilities: Medical Billing & Coding

• Insurance claim review, processing, and distribution
  
• Patient account reconciliations
  
• Patient full account set up into practice information systems.
  
• Maintains all patient data and associated information for accuracy.
  
• Provides excellent customer service to patient’s inquiries via phone, written, or in person.
  
• Utilization of EPIC systems for patient data and records maintenance
  
• In-patient and out-patient insurance claims processing
  
• Collaboration and coordination of patient chart requests to various entities
  
• Delinquent account monitoring and turn over to the supervisor for further actions.
  
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations and always maintain patient confidentiality.
  
• Embrace any other duties assigned by management!
  

• Minimum of (1) year Medical Billing & Coding experience, and minimum of a High School Diploma.
  
• Good written and verbal communications, good organizational abilities, excellent phone etiquette, personable and can work well with the public.
  
• Strong work ethic, reliable, team player
  
• Medical coding experience
  
• Critical thinking and a positive attitude essential, problem solver minded.
  
• Good computer skills, typing, math and billing accuracy.
