Position Summary

The Director of Clinician Development will support the clinical field staff pathway from Behavior Analyst Trainee to Arizona Licensed Behavior Analyst. At Centria, Behavior Analyst Trainees can hold three positions under the direct supervision of a Licensed Behavior Analyst: Behavior Technician, Behavior Consultant Trainee, or Behavior Consultant. This individual will be responsible for the direct supervision and oversight of all assigned Behavior Analyst Trainees, corresponding clients, and the corresponding Behavior Technicians, ensuring the presence of a direct line to an Arizona Licensed Behavior Analyst for every client case. This individual will be responsible for maintaining supervision standards directly in alignment with Arizona Revised Statute 32-2091 and the Behavior Analyst Certification Board. They will also work with clinical leadership to ensure that assigned Behavior Analyst Trainees meet the expectations and responsibilities of their role in line with Centria's Clinical Standards while tracking and monitoring their Behavior Analyst Trainees' progress toward licensure.

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Provide supervision to all assigned Behavior Analyst Trainees in accordance with state and national certification body standards and ensure compliance with all documentation requirements.
    • Provide at least 5% supervision of behavior analytic hours worked, at least 2 contacts per supervision period with at least 1 being with a client. At a minimum, contents should include a 1 client overlap and 1 1:1 meeting. Additional 1:1 meetings, group supervision, or client overlaps may be necessary to meet the minimum 5% supervision in collaboration with the behavior analytic trainees' Director of Clinical Services.
    • Create, maintain, and disseminate supervision documentation, including signed supervisor/supervisee contracts and feedback for every contact.
    • Provide clinical support and guidance to cultivate Behavior Analyst Trainees' skills through behavior skills training and coaching based on observations, review of client data, documentation, and treatment plans.
      • Set clear expectations and provide feedback on areas of growth.
      • Evaluate the effects of supervision through competency assessments.
      • Work with the Director of Clinical Services to address and escalate Behavior Analyst Trainee compliance or performance management issues.
    • Collaborate with Directors of Clinical Service to provide performance feedback to the behavior analytic trainee.
  2. Provide supervision and oversight to all assigned clients and behavior technicians, defined as those individually assigned and those that are under their extended authority as the Licensed Behavior Analyst.
    • Conduct at least one synchronous supervision session of at least one hour for every client under their extended authority.
    • Ensure that every assigned Behavior Technician under their extended authority receives one supervision contact.
    • Develop the active treatment plan based upon clinical assessment and collaboration with the Behavior Analytic Trainee for all cases under their extended authority.
    • Provide all direct supervision, parent engagement, treatment planning, and overall oversight of all clinical services for clients directly assigned.
    • Maintain or exceed minimum billing expectations and corresponding documentation.
  3. Audit tracking and documentation of Behavior Analyst Trainees' hours worked and supervision received to ensure accuracy in reporting and projections towards licensure.
    • Ensure all supervision contacts, proof of contacts, and tracking of hours are updated on a weekly basis by Trainees.
    • Sign and maintain copies of monthly and final experience verification forms.
    • Support assigned Behavior Analyst Trainees with the completion of certification and licensure applications in collaboration with support services.
QualificationsEducation, Certifications, and Licensure
  • Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis required
  • BCBA-D or BCBA certification required
  • Active Licensed Behavior Analyst in the state of Arizona
  • Completion of 8-hour supervision course
Work Experience
  • Preferred, a minimum of 2 years' experience providing BACB supervision for those pursuing their BCBA
  • Required, a minimum of 1 years' experience as a practicing BCBA
Equipment and Technology Requirements
  • Proficiency in navigating a PC operating system and utilizing a laptop
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Proficiency in G Suite (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Google Meet)

  • Experience and coursework in multilevel variate statistical analysis with the ability to interface with data scientists and statisticians in model and algorithm development.
Working Conditions
  • Centria's office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM - 6:00 PM.
  • The work location varies on a case-by-case basis and can include the client's home, a company facility, or community.
  • Additional time or occasional shifts in schedule may be required to complete the above work or meet company objectives. Including travel to the market if not living within it.
  • Onsite support and corresponding travel are a requirement of this role at least once per quarter or as needed at the approval of the Area Director of Clinician Development and/or Vice President of Clinical Services.
Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, physical requirements such as bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 30 pounds may be required. This role will require sitting most of the day as well as walking and standing periodically. This
role may require close visual acuity on computer screens or monitors and the ability to analyze data and figures on a screen.
