The Opportunity:

The Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for completing scheduled maintenance, scheduling of routine repairs, inspection sheets and supply needs. Maintenance Technicians inspect wiring, repair pipes, troubleshoot equipment, replace light bulbs and install new equipment. They document and monitor temperature control systems to ensure safety and identify discrepancies that could indicate a machinery problem. Key Responsibilities Include:

• Perform routine maintenance on all plant equipment and facilities in accordance with prescribed procedures.
• Develop maintenance procedures.
• Perform minor machinery repairs when necessary
• Monitor & maintain facilities:
  • Heating, cooling, and lighting systems.
  • Operate shop floor cleaning machine as needed

• Groundskeeping as needed
• Remove snow from doorways and walkways when necessary
• Fabrication as part of Continual Improvement projects.
• Provide production support:
• Aid in stock and distribution of supplies (water, rags, soap, paper goods, etc.)
• Coordinate with machinists to manage scrap metal containment and removal.
• Waste containment and removal (cardboard, pallets, trash, etc.)
• Operate forklift and move stock and equipment when needed
• Perform all functions of the job while adhering to established quality policies and procedures
• Uphold the company core values
• Other duties as assigned

What you bring:

• Experience:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 3-5 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience operating and servicing all plant maintenance equipment (such as forklift, and pallet jacks)
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Capable of reading repair manuals
  • Considerable knowledge of the tools, equipment, materials, methods, and standard practices of the trade
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Must be adaptable to a changing work environment and competing demands

Job Information:
Location: On-site in Clinton, MA

This is a full-time, permanent position. This position is eligible for the employer-sponsored benefits.

Shift Hours 6AM - 2:30PM or Flexible

Base Pay Range: $20.00 - $27.00/hours
