What We Need

This role is for an individual who wants to learn about and participate Quality Assurance and Testing environments. Someone willing to learn from others while sharing their own knowledge and observations. Looking for a self-motivated engineering or computer science or data analytics student to support DFT’s ongoing product development and system improvements. The position will work within the Test Engineering team to ensure that new products have been effectively and efficiently verified and validated prior to their release. This position will collaborate in the execution of full scope test plans (software, hardware, and system) to help ensure that DFT products are robust and hardened before delivering.

What You’ll Do

Perform regression testing on both software and hardware systems. Document test failures and observations to discuss with the engineering teams. Maintain test case database to include creating new test cases and procedures and updating existing ones. Work with the test engineering team to establish test strategies. Develop test reports to present project status to engineering leads. Documentation review and testing. Participate in the setup and tear down of hardware systems. With management supervision, work with other engineering disciplines to ensure the product meets its requirements. Expected to follow established operating procedures and practices.

Job Qualifications:

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree majoring in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering or Computer, Data Science from an accredited 4-year university or college.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office applications
• Attained at least a sophomore status based on university/college's class standing requirements at the start of the internship.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Must be able to complete a minimum of a 10-week assignment.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with JIRA/Confluence

Schedule - Monday through Friday working in a fulltime capacity. Onsite at our location in San Diego for a duration of 8-12 weeks.

Pay Rate - $25.00/hour and $30.00/hour
