Job Description
Position Overview: The Facilities Maintenance Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of our facilities and equipment. This position requires a hands-on leader with proven project management skills, technical expertise in industrial maintenance, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Lead and oversee facilities maintenance projects from initiation to completion, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management.
- Industrial Maintenance: Manage and coordinate the maintenance and repair of industrial equipment, machinery, and systems to minimize downtime and optimize operational performance.
- Preventive Maintenance Programs: Develop and implement comprehensive preventive maintenance programs to extend the lifespan of equipment, reduce maintenance costs, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Troubleshooting and Problem Solving: Identify, diagnose, and resolve complex maintenance issues and technical problems in a timely and efficient manner, utilizing both internal resources and external vendors as needed.
- Vendor Management: Select, negotiate contracts with, and manage relationships with external vendors, contractors, and service providers for specialized maintenance services, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to contractual agreements.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance facility operations, reduce waste, increase energy efficiency, and optimize maintenance processes and procedures.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry best practices, conducting regular safety audits, inspections, and training programs for maintenance staff.
- Team Leadership and Development: Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to maintenance technicians and support staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and professional growth.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment histories, inventory levels, and expenditures. Generate reports and analysis to track key performance indicators and support data-driven decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of [X years] of experience in facilities maintenance management, with a focus on industrial facilities and equipment.
- Proven track record of successful project management, including experience leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong technical knowledge of industrial equipment, machinery, HVAC systems, electrical systems, and other building systems.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and environmental regulations applicable to industrial facilities.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and project management software.
- Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) and/or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CMRP, CFM) is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
