Distribution Center Supervisor

Shift Time- 9 AM - 6 PM (M-F)

Major Responsibilities

• Meets daily production goals and monitors intra-day performance to achieve these goals
• Supervision of the outbound/inbound flow of freight in the DC.
• Assign daily assignments to employees
• Perform multi-function job tasks
• Control and maintain a safe and clean working environment 
• Assist overall DC operations as needed i.e.(Pick, Pack, put away, ship, receive.)
• Assist in scheduling inbound loads as needed.
• Schedule carrier pickups for the outbound as needed
• Supervising all warehouse activities of an assigned work team on a shift basis
• Training of new hires when needed.

Skills/Knowledge Required

• Highly motivated and results-oriented
• Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
• Have excellent organizational and communication skills both written and verbal
•  Ability to work under timelines and schedules
• Ability to multitask and direct several teams at the same time
• WMS knowledge and skill
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Ability to operate forklifts and other material-moving equipment

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of three (3) years distribution center experience
• Technical skills in logistics processes and methods to include flow, cost efficiencies, engineered standards, equipment, safety, and quality
