Salary: $40,000 - $45,000/year

Pet MD Brands is a fast-growing pet supplement company with offices located in Chicago, IL and Tampa, FL.  We are currently looking for a full-time Accounting and Order Processing Clerk for our Odessa, FL (Tampa area) location.

SALARY: $40,000-$45,000/year

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Accounting and Order Processing Clerk is responsible for performing a variety of clerical duties including, filing, scanning, basic AP using QuickBooks and Great Plains, importing customer orders for warehouse processing and shipping, as well as other various tasks.   


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Afternoon order processing, and backup for early shift order processor.
  • Accounts Payable invoice processing.
  • Other clerical tasks as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED certificate required.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Must have reliable transportation. Employee will receive mileage reimbursement for trips between warehouses. This individual will work primarily at the Odessa warehouse but will make frequent trips to the Oldsmar warehouse.  Eventually, employment will be 100% at the Oldsmar warehouse.
  • Meticulous attention to detail to ensure data is entered accurately.
  • Ability to multi-task when necessary.
  • Great oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of state and federal laws that apply to the duties of this position.
  • Knowledge of basic mathematics and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Knowledge of purchasing, receiving, and accounts payable procedures.
  • Must be able to analyze accounting information for management decision-making.
  • Ability to identify problems and recommend solutions within the scope of the position.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to maintain strict corporate and customer confidentiality.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Varied activities including sitting (for extended periods of time), standing, walking, bending, lifting, and reaching.
  • Manual dexterity to operate various types of office equipment including, but not limited to computers, copy machines, 10-key calculator (by touch), etc.
  • Periodic need to lift and carry items weighing up to 20 pounds.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Work is performed in a fast-paced, high volume, office environment.
  • Must be able to tolerate frequent interruptions from staff members, customers, and others.
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
