Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with technical support centers in South East Asia and East Africa, that provide program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world.

 

The Purchasing Analyst will be responsible for contracting support and sourcing goods and services as required by the business. You will be closely working with line stakeholders to understand required scopes of work, drafting, negotiating and managing all related commitment documents like POs, contracts, amendments in accordance with Company policies and procedures.

 

Our salary range for this position is based on the market data, $60k to $75k per annum (range varies depending on experience and qualifications). This is an onsite assignment in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Identify a comprehensive bill of materials, source quotes from suppliers, execute purchase orders, schedule delivery, and verify shipment receipts at the final destination.
  • All purchases must comply with applicable federal (FAR, DFAR, etc.), local, and state purchasing requirements.
  • Provide procurement and contracting support for; Engineering, Environmental, Construction, and Facility Maintenance, among other categories of spend.
  • Analyze Supply Markets, Sectors & Categories to inform procurement and contracting strategies.
  • Manage the end-to-end sourcing process for assigned categories.
  • Work with Procurement Manager to drive rigorous negotiations to achieve optimal contract/PO terms, pricing methodologies, and compensation schemes.
  • Working with stakeholders to develop Key Performance Indicators ('KPIs') & scorecards for managing Supplier Performance.
  • Work closely with technical disciplines and other stakeholders to ensure suppliers’ successful fulfillment of contract commitments; always maintaining compliance with all Health, Safety & Environmental requirements (both internal & external).
  • Ensure development of annual contracting and procurement plans and KPIs required to measure and track SCM performance.
  • Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

 

Qualifications to be successful in the role:

  • Degree in Business Administration or related field is required.
  • Minimum 5 years of procurement experience.
  • Must be eligible to obtain Secret Clearance.
  • Sound knowledge of contracting legal issues and related resolution processes;
  • Extensive experience developing and implementing contracts and related compensation structures and performance management tools.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites; Inventory and ERP systems (e.g. SAP)
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Must be highly organized, detail-oriented, able to work independently, and flexible to meet changing requirements.
  • Can work independently and as part of the team.
  • Must lawfully reside in the United States and eligible for employment (Planate does not sponsor visas or work permits)
