Attic Salt is seeking a highly-motivated, passionate individual who is currently en route to growing their career in the retail industry to be a brand leader as our Store Manager.

 

Store Manager 

 

The Store Manager is expected to assume a business ownership-type role which will ultimately hold responsibility and accountability for the effective completion of daily operations of the store as well as the longevity and sustainability of the business at hand. As the team lead, the Store Manager will be in charge of effectively hiring, teaching, training, and coaching a team with the objectives of achieving sales goals, meeting visual merchandising standards, team development, and delivering operational excellence. Furthermore, the store manager is expected to comprehend and deliver sound sales results by displaying competency of sales data analytics and executing a business plan accordingly to achieve store sales objectives. The Store Manager must embody our mission and reflect Attic Salt’s core values in order to provide a worthwhile experience that is both positive and rewarding for all Attic Salt team members, customers / guests, and the overall needs of the business.

Responsibilities of Store Manager includes, but not limited to:

 

Leadership


 

  • Hold accountability in maintaining, recruiting/ hiring a staff capable of smoothly running day-to-day operations and the needs of the business 
  • Inspire and motivate team by illustrating a clear vision of goals and objectives to be completed through teamwork and honest efforts
  • Develop a store culture of continuous growth and accountability through the   development of positive employee relations such as on the spot coaching, continued training and leading a quality team
  • Coach team members in developing a store atmosphere that is conducive to a fun and inviting shopping experience emphasizing  a culture of excitement and enthusiasm for the products, a culture that is also guest-centric. 
  • Provide and communicate clear expectations of Attic Salt standards and practice leadership training in holding team members accountable for their performance and behavior
  • Create a strong team that stays connected to customer needs, anticipating customer changes, and meeting customer challenges
  • Deliver constructive feedback in timely manner that prompts developmental training, coaching, and/or conflict resolution 
  • Deliver mid-year and annual reviews for all employees, discussing topics such as KPI performance, progress reports, strengths and opportunities, and micro-goals  Our system doesn’t track KPI accurately or very minimal
  • Drive team morale by celebrating successes involving great employee performance, achievement of sales goal, great attention to detail, etc. 
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including but not limited to holidays, nights, and weekends.

 

Sales Data Analysis and Planning

  • Establish strategic sales plan to generate and drives sales and increases KPIs at all store levels: employees, store, and departments 
  • Analyze employee KPIs + store KPIs to drive team morale and make real-time strategic business plans to drive revenue growth 
  • Demonstrate and  successfully train an elevated level of customer engagement through impactful conversations and use of product knowledge through selling scenarios and practices as well as leading by example
  • Ability to manage a sales floor by delegating tasks effectively, ensuring the sales floor remains  consistently stocked, team members are sales floor aware and zoned, and store atmosphere is reflective of our company core values
  • Ability to assess critical responses to KPIs by developing micro-goals, business plans using sales data analytics  

 

Communication 

  • Ability to communicate important company information to its respective departments 
  • Ability to communicate product knowledge, KPI performance, and any necessary constructive feedback to team members and home office departments with follow-up skills
  • Ability to communicate any needs of the business, articulate store opportunities or issues with a solution-oriented mind
  • Ability to deliver clear and concise communication to other team members of Attic Salt, including store staff, corporate office, and guest communication. 

 

Store Operations 

  • Ensure that all staff members remain updated on company policies, store promotions; and is competent in maximizing the technological resources to aid and improve upon any employee and guest experience  
  • Ensure staff is optimizing the guest and team member experience by maximizing the use of technological resources such as but not limited to: POS, Workforce, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Drive, etc.
  • Train and coach register operations such as POS and cash handling, etc. 
  • Evaluate stores sales and payroll goals and ensure day-to-day operations and schedules align accordingly to meet business needs.
  • Ability to continuously challenge and educate team members on their competency in their store operational roles
  • Ensure day-to-day operations including open/ closing store protocols are completed to Attic Salt standards 
  • Maintain safety standards, company policies, and inventory on store supplies and resources 
  • Consistently aim to reduce product loss through Loss Prevention training and maintaining Loss Prevention protocols 
  • Ensure financial goals are met, including appropriate staffing levels required to meet sales objectives while not exceeding payroll budgets

 

Visual Merchandising / Product 

  • Ability to process shipment and execute visual updates / floor changes to Attic Salt Visual Merchandising standards- held responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene with the safety of our employees and guest at the forefront 
  • Cultivate a strong partnership with the visual merchandising team and their marketing strategies 
  • Support product flow and delegate and train other team members on Attic Salt's visual merchandising standards 
  • Communicate effectively on any discrepancies, visual opportunities, or positive highlights
  • Ability to quickly learn and embrace new product with a positive attitude and offer training on product knowledge 
  • Train other team members to market and sell products effectively 

 

Qualification/ Basic Job Requirements: 

  • Minimum high school education or equivalent 
  • Minimum 2 years of retail or equivalent management experience preferred. 
  • Enthusiasm about being a impactful, innovative leader 
  • Self-motivated, passionate about the work you put out, lead with optimism and a solution-oriented mindset 
  • High integrity, accountability, reliability, and responsible individual who is open to feedback 
  • A sense of openness and adventure 
  • Knowledge in retail operations, sales, customer service, merchandising, inventory control, store budget preparation and loss prevention
  • Staff Development Experience: Experience in staffing, coaching, conflict management, counseling, training and development
  • Proficient computer skills, POS system and Microsoft office 
  • Store Managers must have a thorough understanding of, and ability to perform, all the duties and responsibilities of all subordinate positions including assistant store manager, key holders and sales associates
