Exp. F/T Licensed Creative Arts Therapist Needed in North Side of Chicago
Our client a growing Non-For-Profit Health Center located on the far North Side of Chicago has an immediate staffing need for a direct hire full-time experienced Licensed Mental Health Therapist Specifically With Creative Arts Therapy experience.
This is a full-time position working various hours Monday-Friday, Some Evenings, and Weekends as needed.
Creative Arts Therapy Experience is Required.
Job Responsibilities
- As a Creative Arts Therapist, you will maintain a regular caseload, incorporating your mental health expertise in treating clients.
- Provide direct service to members through; art therapy/counseling, group counseling/therapy, case management, community support, job support, case consultation, and crisis intervention.
- Assess, evaluate, and make recommendations to enhance the therapeutic/clinical perspective on clinical interventions.
- You will see clients individually and work in tandem with our mental health team to evaluate, treat, and communicate with clients and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the primary care team during team meetings for continuity of care and to problem solve, train, monitor, and guide clinical interventions/case management and service delivery responsibilities toward effective, dignified, and timely interventions.
- Complete all assigned paperwork accurately, thoroughly, and in a timely fashion, including assessments that may be required by a grant.
- Must approve and sign a Care Plan within 1 month and updated every 3 months.
- Maintain the quality and validity of reports and individual case records.
- Provide accurate and timely information to leadership on all topics and issues related to the operation of the agency and the well-being of its members.
Job Qualifications
- At least 1 year of Creative Art Therapy Experience is Required.
- Must be a Licensed Mental Health Professional (LCSW, Ph.D., etc.)
- Clinical or Crisis Intervention experience is strongly preferred.
- Commitment to continued therapeutic education.
- Ability to self-start and direct.
- Comfort handling a sizeable and diverse caseload.
- Cultural sensitivity, particularly toward the Orthodox Jewish Community.
