Solutions Architect/Director of Technology Services 

It is a time of excitement and opportunity at BCT Partners – a great moment to join our team! We are seeking a Solutions Architect/Director of Technology Services to help drive our growing Technology Line of Business.   

The ideal candidate for the Solutions Architect/Director of Technology Services role is an experienced leader with over 10 years of experience in IT project management and team supervision. They are proficient in various technical areas such as solutions architecture, software development methodologies, and data management. They excel in strategic planning, collaborating with executive leadership to align technology strategies with business goals. With a track record in federal bids, they are adept at technical sales, proposal development, and client engagement. Their strong communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills enable them to drive excellence in technology services while effectively managing multiple priorities and fostering team growth. 

The Solutions Architect/Director of Technology Services is a key leadership position responsible for crafting and executing the strategic vision of the technology services practice. This role collaborates closely with the Executive Team to drive growth, oversee high-profile projects, and establish strong partnerships to enhance service delivery and secure contracts. The Solutions Architect/Director of Technology Services as the practice lead, provides technical direction, builds delivery capacity, and leads technical sales efforts for federal bids and proposals. This multifaceted role requires a blend of strategic vision, technical expertise, and leadership acumen to drive the technology services line of business (LOB) towards excellence in a dynamic market environment. 

What you bring to the table: 

  1. Leadership Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience leading and managing IT projects and teams, preferably with experience in remote and cross-functional team management. Experience in advising and mentoring staff is highly desirable. 

  1. Technical Expertise: Proven experience as a solutions architect with specific expertise in designing and deploying solutions in web and content management, custom application development (DevSecOps), system operation and maintenance, data pipeline management, and analytics. 

  1. Technology Skills: Competence in current software development methodologies such as Agile and Scrum, along with proficiency in technology stacks including Azure, Google, AWS, or Open Sources. Familiarity with solutions such as content management systems (CMS), customer relationship management (CRM), web portals, cloud-based applications, database development, robotic process automation (RPA), and data management and analytics is crucial. 

  1. Strategic Vision: Experienced in crafting a vision for a line of business that aligns with corporate goals and objectives. Skilled in communicating this vision to team members, motivating them, and leading them successfully through the implementation process. 

  1. Certifications: A bachelor's or advanced degree from an accredited college or university is desired, along with industry certifications such as PMP and relevant certifications in federal IT standards (e.g., FISMA, NIST guidelines, 508 Compliance).  

  1. Government Contracting Experience: Experience in government contracting and managing federal clients is desired, with a proven track record in submitting and winning Federal bids. Demonstrated ability to effectively manage subcontractors and partnership relationships is a plus. 

  1. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to network, collaborate, and build relationships with clients, partners, staff, and remote colleagues. Proven ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing, exercise sound judgment, ask questions, and be open to input and decisions from others. 

  1. Project Management and Financial Skills: Experience in developing project budgets, analyzing efficiencies, and managing project and financial performance. Ability to manage multiple priorities, solve problems, make decisions, and manage change across various project life cycle phases. 

  1. Travel: Must be able to travel to client sites and other work-related locations as required, estimated at 20%.

This is a remote position, located in any of the fifty United States or Washington, DC.
